Lagos-based video on demand platform has officially shuttered its desktop experience.
The company CEO, Jason Njoku, tweeted this a while ago.
And its done. @irokotv goes mobile only. Download and discover amazing content across Africa. http://t.co/47HVYHkidv

TechCabal reported last month that the company was shelving its streaming service and desktop experience in Africa based on insight from market data to focus on discovery and download exclusively via mobile.
irokotv.com now displays directions to the iROKOtv mobile app that for now is currently only available on Android.
No iOS offering. And that makes sense, because from the data Jason shared when he announced iROKOtv’s desktop shutdown, Android owns mobile in Africa. It’s a natural platform to bet on.
