    RSVP, a crowdfunding website, is giving away a million naira ($5000) to campaigners championing some special kind of cause on its platform, and in Kenya BitSoko just received a cool $100,ooo grant. Here are the stories that made the rounds across Africa today:

    Nigeria’s RSVP Launches COLLABO, a Social Development Initiative
    COLLABO is a social development initiative organized by, RSVP. It is offering a million naira ($5000) to 10 winners who can start a good social cause.

    Bill and Melinda Gates Grants Kenya’s BitSoko $100,000
    Kenya-based digital currency wallet startup, BitSoko, has received a $100,000 grant from the Grand Challenges Explorations, an initiative of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

    Provider of online and cross-border payments solutions, Transfast, has announced its expansion into 23 African countries; the largest of such.

    Tripican Now has a Mobile App
    Online movie ticketing startup, Tripican, which allows users purchase movie tickets online and pick them up on arrival at the cinema now has its own mobile app.

    Orange Kenya Upgrades its Network in Kajiado County to 3G
    Kajiado is the 41st Kenyan county to have Orange 3G service. Orange wants to reach 47 counties by year-end 2015.
