    To mark its first year anniversary, Facebook invites more telcos to partner in its free internet initiative at internet.org/operators.

    Village Capital announces $13.2 Million Venture Capital Fund

    Village capital, the non-profit organization that funds early stage ventures, has launched a $13.2 million peer-selected Venture Capital fund, which is for making 100 investments in 75 peer-selected companies all over the world during the tenor of the fund.

    Lizzie’s Creations, creators of Afrotalez, launches a crowdfunding campaign for new project

    Today kicked off the beginning of a crowdfunding campaign for Lizzie’s Creations. The goal is to produce an interactive visual novel which would raise social awareness of dangers facing the African girl child.

    Another technology summer camp for kids

    Here’s another opportunity for your kids to learn 2D animation, Android game development, Robotics and hardware engineering at Kids Code Academy, an Uyo-based technology academy for kids between age 6 and 17.

    Ampion and Merck Launch a Health focused Accelerator in Kenya

    Ampion, has partnered with American pharmaceutical company, Merck, to launch a health accelerator programme in Africa that will nurture the development of high potential and early-stage eHealth startups which are addressing healthcare issues such as HIV, Ebola and Diabetes.

    Ojay Greene, a Kenyan startup that helps small scale farmers sell their farm products in urban markets, claimed the USD 100, 000 prize beating out seven other startups.
