Mintor, a South Africa-based freelancing platform, has cinched $4000 in funding after it emerged winner of the Silicon Cape-organised #PitchVinny event, reports Disrupt Africa.
Mintor had to contend with three other startups including HOWXIT, Cloudlife, an online marketplace and SquirrelThat, a learning app, who all all pitched before Vinny Lingham at the event.
“Mintor is excited to scale up with Vinny Lingham’s endorsement, and join forces to radically improve graduate employability and small business growth. And by the way, we are looking for amazing tech talent to join our founding team,” said Leànne Viviers, Mintor Founder.
Vinny Lingham is a South African entrepreneur who is the co-founder & CEO of Gyft, a mobile gift card company, backed by Google Ventures, he’s also the co-founder of Silicon Cape.
