innovating justice boostcamp 2016

HiiL Justice Accelerator and the Ford Foundation are hosting a series of Innovating Justice Boostcamps across the continent in September. The Boostcamps are happening in Tunis, Kampala, Johannesburg, Nairobi and Lagos, and they’ll feature pitches by the most innovative, disruptive legal and justice startups in those regions.

These startups were chosen from the over 400 startups that applied to be part of the Innovating Justice Challenges earlier this year. The Challenges are divided in two – Family Justice and SME Empowerment – and these startups are develop solutions to problems like employment issues, corruption, intellectual property protection, property inheritance, divorce, child care, and domestic violence.

The finalists from West Africa are AnthonyRhodes (Nigeria), Moh Ni Bah (Cote d’Ivoire), Just Land (Ghana), New Voices Sustain Community Based Paralegal and Village Mediators (Nigeria), Insurance Manager App (Nigeria) and SwiftLaw (Ghana).

There’ll be panel discussions and interactive working sessions that’ll bring together entrepreneurs, investors, and justice professionals at the Boostcamps.
