Webfluential is a self-serve ad network that connects brands to online influencers. With more than 600 influencers signed up in South Africa already, and 180 brands, advertisers and PR agencies in less than 3 months, Webfluential is already rolling out campaigns. All the influencers have to do, is register thier account (blog, twitter, instagram or youtube) and let the connections start.
According to the founders, their startup is Africa’s Klout, on steroids. They have developed a unique algorithm based on reach, resonance and relevance in order to determine true influence, sorting the social wheat from the chaff, so to speak, and by doing this they are pioneering the regulation of a concept that previously had no formal controlling structure.
Launched in October 2013, Webfluential is a South Africa-based company headed by Murray Legg (CEO), Mike Sharman (CMO) and David Philip (CTO).
