Guess who’s on a roll? iROKOtv just struck a deal to provide its catalog of movies to Tigo Rwanda subscribers. But this significant distribution coup is much larger than you might have imagined. A tweet from IROKOtv CEO, Jason Njoku reveals that Vodafone Ghana will be selling a monthly iROKOtv bundle of its own that will cost 20 cedis.
We’re not sure if the price is data inclusive. But Ghana is another market where data is significantly cheaper than in Nigeria.
A pattern is beginning to emerge. iROKOtv is testing subscription video on demand (SVOD) models. They are getting really creative about not only how they acquire, onboard and retain users.
