The application covers leagues in the Ligue 1, Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga and Eradivisie divisions. It combines customized timelines with AFP sports data (scores, card, transfers & fixtures) to give real time updates on matches, teams and players.
“AFP TweetFoot, developed with Datagif and Zenika, offers a unique, interactive and entertaining experience, even for people who don’t use twitter or have an account,” AFP says about the app.

Some features of AFP TweetFoot include twitter-based rankings for teams, players and panelists; it also hosts solutions for both widgets and full-scale websites and several other options.
“For each European league AFP has selected 1,000 to 1,500 of the most influential Twitter accounts – players, fans, bloggers, journalists and professionals. AFP databases are compiled using both quantitative and qualitative criteria – no noise, just football. The selected accounts are enriched with metadata (profiles, team affiliation) ensuring efficient and pertinent content filtering,” another statement about how the application works.
The app currently offers language options in Dutch, Spanish, English and German, but, the interface for each application can also be translated into other languages. Individual tweets can also be translated to suit individual preferences.
