Lagos-based startup, Magbodo Solution Services (MASS), has developed a free interactive online computer-based test gaming platform that enables students’ learn – using games centered on different educational subjects.
The name of the webapp is Magbodo (a Yoruba phrase which translates into ‘don’t get a zero’). It is designed to use gaming to improving CBT practice for secondary school students sitting for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UMTE) and Post-UMTE exams.
The website features several modules (i.e. Magbodo 1.0, Magbodo Starter Account, Magbodo 1.2 etc) with different sets of questions to choose from, and different adversaries to conquer in your bid to save the universe from the outlaws.
“Recognizing that students have diverse learning needs for pending school test and exams, unified exams (SSCE, NECO, GCE, UTME, Post-UTME), we use gaming to increase CBT practice, which enhances learning in a fun-filled, competitive platform with other learners,” the company says.
Founded by Mesonrale Ope (Technical and Head of Operation), the startup whose very obvious proposition is the gamified testing and fun experience, has the likes of Pass.ng, Prepclass, Myschool and Practezer to contend with, as they all offer test/examination prepping services.
