Kenya-based startup incubator, Nailab has announced it is now accepting applications for the 6th cycle of its startup incubation program.
In an official release to TechCabal, Nailab tells us it has been handpicking startups for this cycle since March and has now made the applications open to interested startups.
Application is currently on but will be temporarily put on hold on June 12 to allow judges review the applications. The application process will resume by June 30 for the next cycle of intakes and will subsequently run till September, as Nailab indicates that it will be accepting new entrants into the program every three months.
“This will mean that we will be able to take in four batches in a year unlike the previous 2 batches with each cycle feeding into the previous to share market and product development experiences”, says Sam Gichuru, CEO & Founder Nailab.
Handpicked startups and shortlisted applicants for the sixth cycle will take part in a two-week pitch event and successful startups will begin the Nailab incubation program in July.
Founded in 2011, Nailab has so far supported 40 startups and is in partnership with ICT Authority, Kenya to enable it support 30 more startups by 2016.

The incubator is open to accept startups outside Kenya as long as “they are able to attend the program for 6 months and take care of their own overhead costs”.
